Episode 14 - My Friend Dahmer by Polycomics Book Club

polycomics:

There’s never been a better time to show affection to the loved ones in your life. Write your wife that note saying you’re thinking of her, give your son that high five and take him out for ice cream, shoot your boss that email to thank him for his guidance. You’ll be glad you did.

You know what else you might be glad you’ve done? Read My Friend Dahmer. It’s pretty heavy, but there’s some fascinating stuff here. The gang dives head first into the thick of it and you are beckoned to join.

Afterwards, Jamie C professes her love for Matt Kindt and MGMT, Andrew recounts his Christmas Miracle of getting to bring the mattress downstairs, Amy can’t handle sitting next to Andrew any more and struggles to pronounce “J. Michael Straczynski,” Steve intimately reads his diary entry about Black Science, and Matt reviews some obscure book you’ve never heard of.

@polycomics is locally recorded on a couch and hosted by @adcustom@protolexus@jamiecreads@trowbridge_matt, and @amydimarc.

monkeybraincomics:

Monkeybrain Comics launched on July 2, 2012 with six titles and a simple dream: to make good comics. Twelve months and over two dozen new titles later, we’re well on our way to making that dream a reality, with new digital releases on comiXology every week, and print collections coming out from publishers like IDW, Image, and Dark Horse. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support we’ve received from readers and creators alike in our first year of operation, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we have planned for our second year.

Later this month, at Comic Con International in San Diego, we’ll be announcing a raft of exciting new projects, as well as rooting for Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover at the Eisner Awards ceremony, for the four nominations that their BANDETTE has received. Our deepest thanks to all of the creators who have joined in the fun, and to all of the readers who have purchased and enjoyed our titles. Here’s to another great year!
